Support the Future – Complete the Teaching Hall at Wat Preah Enkosey
Location: Wat Preah Enkosey, Siem Reap, Cambodia
Project Organizer: Veasna, Assistant of the Monastery
Wat Preah Enkosey Monastery is a historical and spiritual landmark in the heart of Siem Reap. Located along the picturesque Siem Reap River, the monastery houses 75 monks and features temple towers from the Angkor period.
The monastery is deeply committed to education and social welfare, ensuring that young people receive the guidance and knowledge they need. Monks actively provide education for the younger generation while also supporting underprivileged children in rural Cambodia, offering them opportunities for a brighter future. Since 2015, they have been dedicated to building a teaching hall to create a better learning environment for young monks and local children. Thanks to generous donations and dedicated volunteers, 80% of the construction is now complete, bringing them closer to fulfilling this vital mission.
To finish the teaching hall, we still need funding for:
-
Flooring
-
Windows
-
Doors
-
Decoration
-
Educational facilities
Estimated Budget Needed: $80,000 USD
Your donation will directly support the completion of this vital educational facility. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to creating a space where children and young monks can learn and grow.
